Good Luck Charm - Angel Star

As ever, trying to apply illustration in everything I do, this is a good luck charm I created for my brand Stories2Wear with an original angel illustration , printed on white acrylic and hand-painted with gold foil accents. You can buy it from my Etsy shop here ...
It is a custom in Greek culture to gift good luck charms during the holiday season leading up to Christmas and New Years as a way of blessing the new year with positivity. The creation of Christmas charms has long become a competition of originality amongst the Greek designers, always looking for a new way to create the lucky charm. I decided to go back to my illustration backround and do a little bit of character design to design the cutest little angel possible, sitting on a cloud , holding a good luck star, and the word "luck" written in greek right next to it.

Etching-style old school illustration

etching-style illustration for e-book proposal

the brief required old-school type illustrations that resembled etchings or woodcuts for an e-book with an eerie mysterious story. The illustration is done with Micron Pens. I think you get the feeling, right? xx Ioanna

"Nerenios" - Slimy and cute (!) worms ...

New editorial project that's been on the cards for a while now, with some unexpected heroes... Worms! The writer's wish was to make them "cute and loveable"! Not an easy thing to do, as the common earthworms have practically no distinguishing characteristic, eyes, feet, mouth etc! Took me a while to solve that problem...
Anyway here's too semi-finished images : The first one shows the  young reckless worms being told off by their parents for their mischeifs. The second one reveals the dangers of the mischeifs, as the young worms stumble upon the big bad muscly (!) worms that are not very friendly...

Ballerina T-shirt

Hand-painted ballerina on a kid's t-shirt. The ballerina turned out to be quite "spanish" because of the red fabric as a backround, which I think it's fun!
All hand-painted t-shirts are made to order :)
